What’s actually causing your drain to clog
Drains rarely clog by accident. Kitchen lines clog because of grease and food. Bathroom sinks clog because of hair, soap scum, and toothpaste. Toilets clog because of paper buildup or anything that shouldn’t have been flushed. Main lines back up because of roots, sagging pipes, or a buildup further down.
Each cause needs a different fix. A snake won’t fix a grease line for long. Hydro-jetting is overkill for a hair clog. Diagnosing the cause is half the work — and it’s the part most companies skip.
Our drain cleaning approach
We start with the simplest, least invasive option that will actually solve the problem. For most kitchen and bathroom drains, that’s a properly sized cable. For grease-heavy or root-affected lines, hydro-jetting is the right call. For mainline issues, a quick camera inspection is usually worth doing before guessing.
We charge by the job, not the hour. So we’re not slow-walking your drain to pad a ticket.
Why we don’t love store-bought drain chemicals
Most retail drain cleaners are caustic, hard on older pipes, and not great at fixing the real cause. They sometimes melt their way through one part of the clog and leave the rest. Worse, if they don’t work, the next plumber has to work in a tub of caustic liquid.
If you’ve already used one, that’s fine — just tell us before we start so we work safe.
Drain installs and replacements
Sometimes the drain itself is the problem — a sagging line, a bad slope, a broken trap, or a fitting that’s separated. We install new drains and replace old ones whenever the existing run isn’t worth saving. Cleanups, traps, vents — we make sure it’s code and that water flows the way it should.
Drain trends in Orange County homes
Older OC neighborhoods — Orange, Fullerton, Anaheim, Brea — often have cast-iron drains nearing end-of-life. Hydro-jetting these can buy years if they’re still structurally sound, but if the pipe is rotted, you’re better off replacing the run.
South-OC newer builds — Irvine, Ladera Ranch, Mission Viejo — tend to have ABS drains that hold up better, but issues at the toilet flange and shower drains are common.

Common questions about drain cleaning & installation
How much is a drain cleaning?
Most single-drain calls are a flat fee that we tell you over the phone or on arrival. Mainline jetting is priced by the job.
Do you use cameras?
Yes — for mainline issues or recurring clogs, a quick camera inspection saves guessing and money.
Will hydro-jetting damage my pipes?
Not when sized correctly. We only jet pipes that can handle it. Old, weak pipe gets a different approach.
Do you guarantee the work?
Yes. If a drain we cleared backs up the same way within our warranty window, we come back.
Can I prevent future clogs?
Mostly — by what goes down the drain. We’ll show you the easy stuff before we leave.
